The observation tower of Pavilion G, originally the Commerce and Trade Pavilion, dates back to 1928.

Designed by the architect Bohumír Čermák, the tower is based on a central reinforced concrete shaft with an elevator and a surrounding staircase. The top ends with a platform, on which a glass façade was later suspended, a design element that would frequently be used later in skyscrapers and high-rise buildings. From the observation deck at the top of the tower, at a height of 45 metres, visitors can enjoy views not only of the entire Brno exhibition complex but also of the Pisárky valley and the cityscape.

Above the entrance hall, there was originally a café with a terrace, capable of hosting up to 1,600 guests. The pavilion was gradually renovated several times; its original wooden wings were replaced with reinforced concrete wings, and the elevator was unfortunately reconstructed in a way that prevented it from being put into regular use. In the 1990s, exhibition halls with steel structures were built. The smaller northern "advertisement tower" has been preserved and now serves as a new entrance to the complex. The southern tower was replaced with a symmetrical frame during renovations and now serves as the entrance to the exhibition ground restaurant.

The tower hosts mobile operator technologies and functions as a transmission tower. In 2023, a time-lapse camera from the Brno Public Transport Company was added to document the construction of a new tram loop at the Pisárky depot.
