This town hall serves the Brno-Žabovřesky district and was built in the early 1990s, after the fall of communism, when Brno was reorganised into self-governing districts. The building was completed in 1994 and has remained in use ever since.
Designed by architect Radko Květ, the town hall combines a functional layout of offices with a distinctive architectural concept of interconnected building volumes.
Its most striking feature is the curved, ship-like entrance with flagpoles, which forms a clear and representative main entrance. Inside, visitors enter a foyer with a public reception area, while the upper floors contain the district’s administrative offices. The building’s bold yellow and blue colour scheme makes it a strong visual landmark in the neighbourhood.
