Brno, once dubbed the “Moravian Manchester”, was a leading centre of Europe’s wool‑textile industry. The New Mosilana factory in Brno is today the largest production plant of the Italian Marzotto Group and one of Europe’s major manufacturers of high‑quality woollen fabrics.
The factory carries forward Brno’s long-standing textile tradition, producing premium wool fabrics for the global fashion market. Its fabrics are used by top international brands such as Versace, Armani, and Hugo Boss, reflecting the combination of craftsmanship, modern production, and excellence that has made the city’s textile heritage renowned worldwide.
Visitors can appreciate not only the scale and modernity of the factory but also its connection to Brno’s industrial past, where historic legacy meets contemporary production for a worldwide industry.
