The M-Palace commercial and administrative building was designed by the architectural office Atelier DoS, Dokoupil & Partners v.o.s.
The cornerstone was laid on 20 December 1994, construction was completed in 1998, and the building was officially approved on 9 October 1997. M-Palace consists of two structures: the high-rise administrative building “A” with one underground and sixteen above-ground floors, and the commercial building “B” with one underground and three above-ground floors.
The load-bearing system of both parts of M-Palace consists of a reinforced concrete monolithic skeleton on the 1st basement and ground floors. From the 2nd floor upwards, Building A is constructed as a steel frame with a reinforced concrete vertical core, founded on a concrete slab supported by piles. The load-bearing steel columns are clad in public areas. The façade is divided into glazed sections, predominantly clear glass, and other sections outside office spaces. The stairwell features reflective glass tinted in shades of blue. The second section of the façade consists of suspended, insulated ceramic panels in a beige gloss finish. Building A is vertically connected from the basement to the 15th floor by a reinforced concrete core housing four elevators and two staircases. Three passenger elevators reach the 14th floor, while a service elevator goes up to the 15th floor, from which a staircase leads to a panoramic restaurant on the 16th floor.
The fourteen above-ground floors accommodate centralized administration, with Building A housing numerous companies, including real estate, development, legal, and notary offices. Building B is used for commercial purposes, containing 28 shops across two floors, a fast-food outlet, and a restaurant. M-Palace benefits from a prime location in southern central Brno, ensuring excellent accessibility.
