The Community Centre for War Veterans Brno, established in 2016, operates under the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic, specifically the Department for War Veterans and War Graves.
The centre is a unique project that has since inspired the creation of similar centres in Olomouc and Prague. Visitors can explore not only the centre’s facilities, including the veterans' club and classrooms, but also current exhibitions related to the military and military history. The tour includes a full walkthrough of the community centre’s interior, featuring the veterans' club and supported community housing.
Right at the entrance, KCVV Brno has a garden, which can be enjoyed for relaxation and seating during good weather. Inside, there is a memorial space near the entrance where visitors may pause to honour veterans who lost their lives during missions. Families with children will find a play area, baby changing facilities, and comfortable spaces for rest. The centre also provides access to drinking water and is fully equipped with accessible restrooms for individuals with physical disabilities.
