INDUSTRA

Industra is a place where art, design, technology, and great coffee come together.

Since its founding in 2012, the independent creative hub INDUSTRA has striven to preserve the legacy of Brno's industrial history through its creative activities. By relocating to Nová Zbrojovka, the largest brownfield site in Brno, which is being transformed into an innovative urban district, INDUSTRA has become one of the most significant centres of its kind in Central Europe. 

It functions as an international platform that connects various fields, including visual, live, and digital arts, architecture, design, and crafts. In doing so, it creates a space for creative interaction and inspiration for both local and international artists and creators. 

In the INDUSTRA ART Gallery, they aim to respond to current stimuli in contemporary visual art. They support interesting authors' projects from art school students, graduates, and established artists, providing them with suitable spaces for the realization and proper promotion of their work. They create an environment for mutual sharing, meetings, and discussions across society. Every year, they announce an OPEN CALL, from which an expert jury selects suitable candidates from the Czech Republic and abroad for the exhibition programme for the following period. 

Currently, INDUSTRA is located in the original headquarters building of Zbrojovka on Lazaretní Street and in the former compressor building near the ZET.OFFICE office loft, where they are working on the swift renewal of their cultural and social component.
