CO.LABS_bar is a modern multifunctional space for culture and social gatherings. Located on the third floor of the CO.LABS cultural centre within the Sokol stadium on Kounicova Street, this fully accessible interior serves as a café, bar and shared exhibition space, combining an industrial character with a lively community atmosphere.
Covering a total area of 118.8 m², the interior is defined above all by its impressive seven-metre ceiling height. A key architectural feature is the trio of generously sized west-facing windows measuring 2.5 × 3.3 metres, which flood the space with natural daylight. The floor is finished in traditional terrazzo, while the walls are coated with black chalkboard paint, allowing for direct creative use. The overall concept is complemented by modern LED lighting and practical features such as a ceiling grid and rails for displaying artworks.
Today, the bar functions as the vibrant heart of the cultural centre, with a capacity of 50–60 people. It is open to the public from Wednesday to Saturday and during all events held at the venue. The programme ranges from author readings and discussions to intimate concerts and DJ sets. Together with the foyer and the gallery space by the staircase, it forms a cohesive exhibition zone where visitors can share experiences after performances or take part in community gatherings.
The bar offers a varied menu including reliable beer, excellent wine, filter coffee prepared in several flavour variations, and homemade lemonades. There is also something to eat if you are feeling hungry. During the day, the space has the relaxed atmosphere of a café, transforming into a lively bar in the evening. Whether you enjoy coffee and quiet conversation or good beer and cocktails, there is something for everyone. During the festival, you can stop by to relax between events or end the day with a glass of wine or lemonade after a full programme of festival activities.
