Šumavská office complex - Czechitas House

Czechitas is a non-profit organisation, and Czechitas House is their educational community space focused on teaching women and children about IT technologies. It is located in the Šumavská office complex.

The current office complex was created by converting former military clothing workshops. The buildings form a closed block with a shared courtyard. The complex has several above-ground floors and one basement level. The main entrance faces Chaloupeckého Square, and the entrance to the courtyard is from Šumavská Street.

A new three-storey extension is being added above the original workshop building. Planned changes include moving the main entrance to Šumavská Street, adding new upper floors and creating a split-level garage area in part of the basement. These interventions keep the original building’s character and overall use.

Czechitas in Brno offers a modern environment suitable for learning, networking, working and developing new opportunities. CTP Czechitas House is a place where families, friends and anyone interested in education can meet. Thousands of women and hundreds of children have already discovered the world of information technologies with them. The space offers practical education in digital and manufacturing technologies, allowing visitors not only to learn about modern production and prototyping, but also to try the equipment themselves and create something on it.
