The new offices of Atelier 99 are located on Purkyňova Street in Brno’s Královo Pole district and serve as a modern administrative and creative base for a team of more than forty architects and engineers. The interior combines high functionality with an informal atmosphere, designed to evoke the feeling of a comfortable living room.
The design and implementation, completed in 2025, were carried out by Atelier 99 itself, with architect Veronika Hladíková leading the project. The main motivation for the new space was the company’s continuous growth and the need to create an environment that supports both professional development and personal well-being. The refurbishment involved a complete transformation of the original open-plan office, including technically demanding interventions such as creating an opening through a reinforced concrete load-bearing wall to connect with an adjacent part of the building.
The project is characterised by a strong emphasis on material authenticity and the interplay of natural light, without unnecessary decorative effects. A key feature is the use of horizontal glazed partitions, which, together with exposed columns and open ceilings, bring daylight deep into the floor plan and create an airy atmosphere. The interior is unified in a tonal, neutral palette, with living greenery providing the only colour accent. A distinctive design element is the recurring ribbed motif, used both in the reception area and in the furniture. In addition to workspaces, the interior also includes a large communal kitchen for informal meetings, a material sample room with 3D printing facilities, and soundproof call booths.
The space functions fully as a contemporary studio, reflecting the company’s values of sustainability and circular economy. Atelier 99 also focuses on improving its surroundings, including the expansion of green “chill zones” in the courtyard, the installation of electric vehicle charging points, and further greening of the premises.
