OPEN HOUSE BRNO
More than 116 buildings opens in 2024. Since 6th of March, 2024, the Accesibility & Inclusion exhibition was open in the atrium of building O1, St Anne’s University Hospital Brno. Some of the A&I buildings were also accessible during the festival weekend (e.g. Velodrome, or Rohrer vila). Visual stories exibition from 12 cities participating in Open House Europe project in 2023 was available on the same spot.
The annual festival weekend presents not only architecturally interesting buildings in the Moravian metropolis, but also the green and technical foundations of the city functioning. The program is complemented by concerts, exhibitions, workshops, or bicycle tours.
The festival took challange in English tours. While team of volunteers struggle with full English version of the web, we are also looking for native speakers willing to give tours. As thanks organized are year-round Thursday walks for volunteers.
Open House Brno is a platform connecting entertainment, education and belonging. The goal of
these connections is to improve the quality of the urban environment and thus improve the
quality of life of the residents of Brno. We are part of the Open House Europe project co-financed by the European Union.
Specific program hints for English speaking audience, some places may require reservations.

1. Anatomical Musem of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University – the museum has tags in latin, there are present medical proffesionals who can speak in English, no specific English tour is organized, therefore there is no need for rezervation

Open House Worlwide is umbrella over more than 55 member cities. In 2023 wre recorded 1.2 million visits in 6,250 buildings and activities. Similarily to Open House Brno, this is possible only thanks to volunteers. There were active at last 14,460 Open House volunteers worldwide in 2023.
In the worldwide survey 87% of visitors said they learned something new about their city through Open House and 75% admired that Open House changed the way they see the city.
